Figurines of decorative dwarfs populate a geometric architectural structure that generously occupies the gallery space. The structure seems as if it is a watch tower that grows out of a domestic space. The design of the structure stemmed from my interest in theatrical scenography. Specifically I was intrigued by theater productions in which the scenery is not only a backdrop but also a space to be occupied by the actors. The presence of the decorative dwarfs in the structure raises questions regarding how our society accepts or rejects people with disabilities and bodily deformities.
